Western Slope Photojournalism Workshop

The West Slope Youth Photojournalism Workshop is a four-week summer photography course in Paonia, Colorado that brings both professional photographers and high school students together to teach students how photography can help their communities flourish.

Through a combination of lectures, roundtable discussions, and photography excursions, participants will learn concepts relating to camera use, journalism ethics, writing development, and artistic expression.

The curriculum features photographers with expertise in studio lighting, beat journalism, fine arts, and film photography. These professionals travel from around the West to participate in the program.
