Support our program

Help us to support these young photographers flourish in their communities.

Rural areas, like the North Fork Valley, tend to lack access to professional and technical development in specific industries. Under the guidance of experienced industry professionals, WSPJ directly bridges the accessibility gap by providing hands-on experience and foundational skills in photojournalism. This workshop benefits our community and our young people by exposing them to the world of photojournalism and giving them the tools to gain invaluable technical, ethical, and professional skills.

The Western Slope Photojournalism Workshop (WSPJ) is looking for sponsors to support these young photographers in rural colorado. WSPJ uses the gift model, meaning all curious, excited, and interested students may participate regardless of their family’s financial status. In order to allow every student to attend, we need the support of our larger community.

By supporting these workshops, you are helping to support high quality youth art programs that are available to students on the gift model. Throughout the course of the workshop we encourage all donors to view student work through Instagram, @westernslope_pj.

Support this workshop and our young people by donating today. Make your contribution via Network for Good (select the Donate button below) or Venmo @The-LearningCouncil. For Venmo, please include in the payment description: “WSPJ.”

*all donations are accepted through The Learning Council, a non-profit based in the North Fork Valley. Under 501C3 status, donations are tax deductible.
